Congruent is a Miami, FL based boutique insurance intermediary. It specializes in the field of advising upon, and arranging, insurance and reinsurance solutions for complex risks. It structures efficient risk transfer mechanisms, arranges the transactional aspect of the risk such as policy structuring and wording, and advises upon risk mitigation, and risk quantification. With over 35 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry spanning North and South America, Europe and Asia, Congruent is “at home” managing complex insurance and reinsurance risks.

Congruent advises upon and arranges the placement of risks in the right market and in the most cost-effective manner. In London, Congruent has access to the Lloyd’s and companies market through its affiliation with the UIB Group. UIB is one of the largest privately-owned independent international insurance and reinsurance brokers in the world, with 750 employees worldwide. Headquartered in London, UIB has a global network of offices including Brazil, Colombia, Miami, the UAE and Japan.

Although Congruent and UIB are separate entities, their relationship stems from a shareholding interest and family ties: UIB was founded by the Kabban family in 1987 following the management buyout of Marsh McLennan Middle East, an entity previously known as Kabban Marsh & McLennan. Bassem Kabban chairs the UIB Group, while Congruent is managed by Eli Kabban.

Today, Congruent serves as a strategic advisor and broker, leveraging deep market insight, analytical rigor, and long-standing relationships to deliver tailored insurance and reinsurance solutions to oil and gas, infrastructure, technical, geopolitical and multiperil exposed portfolios.
